Welcome to South Gloucestershire's Wildspaces! Website.

The Wildspaces! Partnership Project is a new initiative set up to help local communities create and manage Local Nature Reserves in South Gloucestershire, England. A number of organisations have joined forces with South Gloucestershire Council to enable five new reserves to be declared by May 2006.

The project will help local people, schools and community groups understand, improve, use and enjoy the local environment. Through this website you will be able to find out more about wildlife in South Gloucestershire and the Wildspaces! Project. You can discover exciting ways in which you can get involved and experience the Wildspaces! in South Gloucestershire.

The Wildspaces! Partnership Project has received support from the Countryside Agency through the DEFRA Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund and RMC Environment Fund to help create this new website.

The website has been designed to give you the latest information on issues affecting wildlife areas within South Gloucestershire. A text only version is available to enable the web site to be accessed by all web users.

There are a range of sections that include information on the Wildspaces Project, details on where the nature reserves are, the latest information and news, educational material, free downloads and other fun stuff, and competitions.
