Hedgelaying & Dry Stone Walling

newly laid hedge Fancy trying your hand at a traditional countryside craft?

Dry stone walling and hedgelaying are ancient skills that have been practiced for many hundreds of years. Hedgelaying produces a stockproof, wildlife friendly hedge by cutting hedgerow trees nearly all the way through and laying them flat. Dry stone walling is the skilful art of building a wall without mortar. With a bit of luck (and practice), a wall you build may last for well over 100 years!

Both these activities are great fun and no experience is necessary. Why not come along and give it a try???
